Sought Out By A Different Crowd:
Higbee Beach (Wild Life Management Area) is located on the SE side of Cape May, NJ. There are no Life guards, annoying beach badge checkers, bathrooms, food stands, umbrella rentals, or beach paraphernalia sales and rentals. Parking is quite limited and the roads are not paved. But if you enjoy birds, nature, driftwood and most importantly dogs, you will be happy visiting Higbee Beach.
I may have written about Higbee Beach earlier. I came down to photograph the yearly Monarch Butterfly migration. The Jersey Shoreline is one of the pathways that the butterflies use to return to warmer weather in the fall. But this visit was for my dog Barkley so these photographs are a more personal nature for me. I’m not a travel blogger, I just like to take pictures and if I go farther away from my home, I like to bring members of my family. None of them like to have their picture taken so I have to be sneaky about it.
This is my attempt, in my own way, to capture the mood that makes up Higbee Beach. I hope you will enjoy them:
