A Tree Swallow


1086 images of Tree Swallows I took of these little birds on a single trip. This , by far, is not my best image, but it is ideal for digital painting. I shot this image at The John Heinz Wildlife Refuge  in Tinicum Township, PA. The Bird box is attached to a post that sunk into a tidal pond (these bird-boxes attract the tree swallows). The green background is made up of  very tall lily pads. There is a bridge that crosses the pond so that people can observe the birds closer. The tree swallows usually sit on the hand railing of the bridge, sometimes 10 or twenty birds in a line.
